The Manchester United left-back is out with a broken leg.
Manchester United have had to contend with a long list of injury problems this season and one man who has perhaps suffered the most on that list is England international left-back Luke Shaw.
The England international has had two operations on the double fracture sustained in a challenge with Mexican defender Hector Moreno in United’s opening Champions League tie of the season against PSV Eindhoven.
It came after a magnificent start to the season for the young defender who finally looked to be growing into his role at Old Trafford and with the England national team.
He now does not look likely to return to action until well into the New Year but he has a Christmas message for his fans on Twitter - a positive one regarding his injury:
Heading back home to London for Christmas! Legs feeling really good! hope everyone has a good Christmas
