To be played on Saturday 26th December 2015 at 12:45. Venue: Britannia Stadium, Stoke
Odds: Stoke 21/10, Draw 21/10, Man Utd 11/8
Stoke City welcome Manchester United to the Britannia Stadium on Saturday with Louis van Gaal’s side seeking their first win in seven attempts.
United have lost to Wolfsburg in the Champions League and Bournemouth and Norwich City in the Premier League in their last three outings, and as a result they are now out of Europe’s elite club competition and down to fifth place in the domestic table.
With the pressure on United manager Louis van Gaal, United’s players have to put in a solid performance against a Stoke side that will cause any side problems.
Mark Hughes’ men are currently 11th in the table and they would move to within three points of United with a victory of their own this weekend.
Stoke lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace last time out but had previously drawn with West Ham United and overcome Manchester City in impressive style.
In early team news, Stoke are without Marc Muniesa, Stephen Ireland, Peter Crouch, Peter Odemwingie and Shay Given while Geoff Cameron has only a 25 per cent chance of recovering from a hamstring injury.
As for United, they are without Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian, Antonio Valencia and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
