West Bromwich Albion take on Swansea City and Newcastle United in their next two matches.
Tony Pulis has suggested that he will rotate West Bromwich Albion’s squad over the Christmas period in comments published by the club's official Twitter account.
The Baggies face Swansea City on Boxing Day at the Liberty Stadium, before they host Newcastle United on the 28th December. And Pulis feels that the demands of playing two matches in such a short space of time will mean that he has to tinker slightly with his squad.
TP: "We have two games in three days over Christmas, so we will definitely rotate the squad" #WBA— West Bromwich Albion (@WBAFCofficial) December 23, 2015
Two enforced changes that Pulis will have to make in the fixtures against Swansea and Newcastle will be leaving summer signings James McClean and Salomon Rondon out.
The pair both picked up red cards in West Brom’s most recent outing against Bournemouth, which ended in a 2-1 defeat, and they have subsequently been hit with three-match bans.
Their absences should provide West Brom’s fringe players with the chance to impress and the likes of Callum McManaman, Rickie Lambert and Saido Berahino will all be hoping to be included over the Christmas period.
West Brom are currently in 13th place in the Premier League table – five points above the relegation zone heading into 2016.
