Experienced defender Darijo Srna is a target for Arsenal, report Russian newspaper Izvestia.
Srna plays his football in neighbouring Ukraine for Shakhtar Donetsk, where he has played since 2003.
Izvestia report Arsenal are keen to add a right-back to their squad, with Srna the lead candidate.
They also claim reports linking Aleksandar Kokorin from Dynamo Moscow are wide of the mark, with the Russian more likely to join Zenit St Petersburg instead.
Where would Srna fit it?
Srna is 33-years-old and not a long term option for Arsenal, but he could still have a role to play.
Hector Bellerin is the first choice right-back but Mathieu Debuchy has signalled a desire to leave this January so he can attempt to salvage his hopes of being picked by France for Euro 2016.
Srna would be a like for like replacement, but would be cup-tied for the Champions League having played every game in the group stages with Shakhtar.
He is an attacking full-back who can even play on the wing, and has 127 international caps for Croatia.
