Trevor Sinclair gets his pre-match prediction wrong, comments on Arsenal’s title chances

Arsenal Emirates

Trevor Sinclair predicted Manchester City to run riot at the Emirates Stadium, but it was Arsenal who won the Premier League clash.

Trevor Sinclair has predicted on social networking site Twitter that Arsenal will win the Premier League title this season.

The former West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers winger made the prediction following the Gunners’ 2-1 victory over Manchester City at home on Monday night.

Theo Walcott put the Gunners in the lead in the 33rd minute, and Olivier Giroud added a second on the stroke of half time.

Yaya Toure halved the deficit for the Citizens eight minutes from full time, but it did not have any effect on the final result.

Ahead of the game at the Emirates Stadium in North London, Sinclair had predicted his former club City to run riot.

Arsenal are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 36 points from 17 matches.

Arsene Wenger’s side are two points behind leaders Leicester City and four ahead of City, who are currently third in the standings.
