The Foxes have take the top flight by storm this season and lead the way with an astonishing 38 points having tasted defeat just once in this most remarkable of Premier League seasons.
Dynamic duo Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have been the ones getting all the headlines thanks to their phenomenal goalscoring exploits.
'This is no fluke'
But speaking in his role as a pundit on BBC's Match of the Day, Keown praised three unsung Leicester heroes who he feels have been just as crucial to the Foxes' outstanding form, starting with defensive rock Wes Morgan.
"We haven't got enough time to show all the players here and to highlight them and it's a shame because there's no fluke now about their performances, they really are turning into a top team," Keown said on MOTD.
"Wes Morgan is a player that a lot of teams looked at nobody wanted to take him, he's now there by right.
"He's like a bull, he dealt easily with Everton's two front players and all the Premier League players so far."
Keown also highlighted Leicester's box-to-box midfield star N'Golo Kante as another unsung hero.
"He has just been a joy to watch this season," Keown added.
"He sees danger, he floats around in that midfield, he's almost got an iron lung. He's very nimble and full of pace."
And left-back Christian Fuchs was another lavished with praise.
"Fuchs at left-back is very patient, 'no-one is going past me', he's doing a top job there.
"Late in the game he's still got that energy (and) that battling, absolutely outstanding."
Foxes deserve limelight
Nobody can deny Leicester their day in the sun and Keown is right to highlight the sterling job Ranieri and his men are doing this season.
In fact many neutrals hope the Foxes can continue their amazing season and upset the apple cart for the good of the Premier League.
The record breaking achievements of Vardy are inspirational to youngsters and footballers in the non-league.
Mahrez's has arguably been the standout player in the division and both have inevitably been linked with bigger clubs.
