Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to be active in the January transfer window.
The Midlands outfit have failed to live up to expectations so far this season, and Jackett admits that he needs to add quality to his group in January.
“We certainly need some help from the outside, definitely, in terms of January,” he said. “There is no doubt that is the case and I’ve stated that for a couple of months.
“I do think though they need some help and they need some help during the course of the game, because the decision making, the managing of the game when we’re maybe in front, it just isn’t there at the moment.”
Wolves have won just one of their last seven matches, and their form has been concerning.
Jackett’s men have leaked goals throughout the campaign so far, and they have not been particularly effective going forward.
Wolves have failed to replace Bakary Sako, who left Molineux to join Crystal Palace in the summer, while the loss of Nouha Dicko has to injury has also been harmful.
Jackett is likely to be seeking additions at both ends of the pitch in January, with Peterborough United striker Conor Washington the latest player to be linked by the Daily Mail.
Washington has scored nine goals in his last 10 matches at League One level, and Wolves are said to be tracking his progress.
