West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has predicted in her football diary in The Sun that Liverpool will win the Premier League title under Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds have not won the league title in England in the Premier League era, but Brady expects it to change in the coming years.
“From all I hear about Bill Shankly, I suspect Liverpool have a modern, German version in Jurgen Klopp,” the 46-year-old wrote in her football diary in The Sun (Sunday, December 13 entry).
“He celebrates a last-second draw against West Brom in front of the Kop by joining hands with his players in a joyful jig as if they had just won the league.
“In Klopp, Liverpool have the character they deserve. My bet is that sooner or later he will lead them to the title. Not this season though.”
Klopp was appointed the Liverpool manager in October following the dismissal of Brendan Rodgers.
The German has already had a positive effect on the Merseyside outfit, with the players raising their game and the fans regaining hope.
Liverpool do not have the squad to challenge for the Premier League title this season, but with a few good additions in the summer transfer window they could give it a go during the 2016-17 campaign.
West Ham are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with 25 points from 17 matches, while Liverpool are a point behind them in ninth.
