Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

Danny Murphy named on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (December 21) three Liverpool players who would get into the Tottenham Hotspur team.

“Someone asked me something yesterday,” said former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder Murphy during a discussion with Alan Brazil.

“You are talking about teams trying to get into the Champions League, which Tottenham are. How many Liverpool players would get into Tottenham’s team?

“Coutinho,” said former Spurs forward Brazil.

“Yes, that’s what I said,” stated Murphy. “Probably Henderson. And a toss of coin between Clyne and Walker maybe.”

Both Liverpool and Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

Spurs are higher than Liverpool in the league table at the moment, and it is likely that it will stay that way for the rest of the season. The North London outfit have a better squad than the Reds and are also in better form.

Philippe Coutinho, Jordan Henderson and Nathaniel Clyne are arguably the three best players in the current Liverpool squad.

For Jurgen Klopp’s side to finish in the top four, all three will have to be on top of their game between now and the end of the campaign.

Liverpool will take on Leicester City at Anfield in the Premier League on Boxing Day, while Tottenham will face Norwich City at White Hart Lane.
