Robbie Savage and Andy Gray predict Arsenal v Manchester City

Arsenal Emirates

Arsenal and Manchester City will face each other at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Monday night.

Former Leicester City and Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage has predicted on William Hill Betting that Arsenal will win against Manchester City in the Premier League on Monday night.

Arsenal will take on City at the Emirates Stadium in North London, and Savage has backed the home team to pick up all three points.

“Man City, surprisingly away from home, haven’t scored in their last three,” said the former Wales international on William Hill Betting. “They have only got seven goals in seven games.

“Compare that to Giroud, who is playing so so well at the minute. In his last two games against City, he has got two goals.

“Arsenal with the second best defensive record at home in the Premier League. That’s why I am gonna go with an Arsenal victory. Giroud to get another goal.”

Former Aston Villa and Everton striker Andy Gray, though, believes that Monday night’s clash between Arsenal and City will end in a 2-2 draw.

“This game could define both of these sides’ season,” the former Sky Sports pundit has written on Paddypower.com. “We’re going to get a very open game, a real shootout. I’m gonna go for a high scoring draw.

“Sergio Aguero is back, and he’s a massive player to have back for a big game. He’s up against the form striker in Olivier Giroud, what a season he is having.”

A footnote added: “Andy’s bet : A 2-2 draw for me, with Giroud to put Arsenal ahead at 13/10.”

Arsenal are a point ahead of City in the Premier League table at the moment, and the incentive of extending that lead and closing the gap on leaders Leicester City cannot be undermined.

Playing at home will give the Gunners an advantage, and the players need to make the most of it.

City have a better squad than Arsenal, but Arsene Wenger’s side are in good form at the moment and will probably be considered as favourites by many.
