According to the Daily Mail, Watford and Bournemouth have both entered the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend.
The England international is set to depart White Hart Lane in January, having fallen out of favour at Spurs.
Townsend has not made a Premier League start all season for the Lilywhites, and he has not featured at all since the 22nd October.
The 24-year-old has played in two of Tottenham’s development squad’s matches recently, just to keep his match sharpness up.
Plenty of Premier League clubs have been alerted to the winger’s struggles, with Aston Villa and Newcastle United both said to be chasing the wide-man, The Mail reported last week.
Watford and Bournemouth are also willing to do a deal, and they are said to be eager to make a loan bid in the new year.
Watford have made a wonderful start to the campaign, but they are determined to strengthen their squad, to ensure that their form does not dip.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, are also above the bottom three – but Eddie Howe wants to increase his team’s attacking threat at the next available opportunity.
