People News: Credit Suisse, UBS, JPMorgan

UBS sign

Robert MacNaughton, head of distressed debt trading in the U.S. for Credit Suisse, is leaving the bank after more than 15 years, according to a person briefed on the move.

Bloomberg News reports that MacNaughton sent out a note to clients announcing his departure, said the person, who asked not to be identified because the move isn’t public. Drew Benson, a spokesman for the bank, said the firm doesn’t comment on personnel matters.

In the meantime, Reuters reports that UBS has poached private equity banker Nestor Paz Galindo from JPMorgan, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters last week, as the bank builds that side of its business.

After 22 years at JPMorgan, Galindo is to become head of exclusive sell-side and financial sponsors M&A for the EMEA region, reporting to M&A head Severin Brizay.
