Michael Vaughan reacts on Twitter to Sheffield Wednesday win

Sheffield Wednesday won 4-1 against Wolverhampton Wanderers at home in the Championship on Sunday afternoon.

Former England international cricketer Michael Vaughan has taken to social networking site Twitter to revel in Sheffield Wednesday’s win against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.

Wednesday returned to winning ways in the Championship with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Wolves at home.

Although the visitors took the lead through a Benik Afobe penalty on 16 minutes, the Owls staged a brilliant comeback at the Hillsborough Stadium.

Fernando Forestieri (two), Daniel Pudil and Gary Hooper scored the goals for Carlos Carvalhal’s side.

Well-known retired cricketer Vaughan is a Wednesday fan, and he was overjoyed with the win for the Owls.

The victory means that Wednesday are now seventh in the Championship table with 33 points from 22 matches.

The Owls are just a point behind sixth-place Ipswich Town, who are currently sixth and occupy the final playoff spot.

Wednesday will take on Birmingham City at the Hillsborough Stadium on Boxing Day.
