How Gary Lineker reacted to Theo Walcott's goal against Manchester City

The pundit was joined by several others in praising Arsenal forward's goal in the 2-1 win over Manchester City on Monday.

Gary Lineker, Stan Collymore and Ray Parlour, reacted on Twitter to Theo Walcott’s opening goal for Arsenal against Manchester City.

Manager Arsene Wenger elected to use him in a left wing role on Monday evening, with star man Alexis Sanchez currently out injured.

It proved to be a masterstroke, as he scored his side’s opening goal of the game from the position, cutting inside the full back to curl a finish past a stranded Joe Hart.

That goal set his side on the way to an impressive 2-1 win on the evening, and the trio shared their opinions on Twitter to just how good a goal it was.

The goal was certainly an impressive one from Walcott, who has not scored many goals like it during his career so far.

He has been used to getting the most of his goals inside the box, with the likes of Alexis Sanchez being left to score the type of goal he treated fans to on Monday evening.

With the Gunners looking to win the title this season, Arsenal fans will be hoping that Walcott can chi in with more of the same over the course of the season.
