Gary Lineker believes Tottenham will secure a top four place this season.
Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter in order to state that he believes Tottenham Hotspur will qualify for the Champions League this season.
Goals from Harry Kane and Dele Alli handed Spurs a 2-0 win at St. Mary's Stadium, taking them up in to fourth place, ahead of Manchester United.
With Chelsea struggling, Liverpool in a transition phase under new boss Jurgen Klopp and Manchester United flattering to deceive with Louis van Gaal at the helm, there is a real belief that Tottenham could secure a top four place, and return to the Champions League for the first time since the 2010/11 season.
Now, former Spurs striker and current Match of the Day host Gary Lineker has had his say on the club, confidently stating on Twitter that he believes Tottenham will indeed finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League.
With an outstanding defence consisting of players like goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and centre backs Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, Spurs can keep the back door shut, whilst Harry Kane has proven that he can score plenty of goals at the other end.
The big problem Spurs have had so far is drawing too many games, but they aren't losing often, and with a strong crop of young talent, Tottenham may not only be setting themselves up for success this season, but also long in to the future.
