Fernando Forestieri has spoken of his delight about his form at Hillsborough, on Sheffield Wednesday’s official site.
Forestieri was brought to Wednesday from Watford during the summer transfer window, and he has wasted no time making an impression.
The Argentinian attacker has scored eight goals in 16 appearances for the Owls, and he believes that his form is better than ever.
“For me, I have a lot of confidence because I have eight goals. It’s important for me because I think I am starting to do the best in my career,” he said.
“Because of that I want to say thank you to the team and the gaffer because he has given a lot of confidence to me.
“The players have helped me to fit in a lot and I want to say thank you very much to them.
“I need to carry on like this because this is the best football of my life.”
Forestieri netted twice in Wednesday’s most recent 4-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
In that match, the 25-year-old was a constant menace and he ended up registering a staggering 12 shots over the 90 minutes.
Forestieri has already become a fans’ favourite at Hillsborough, and his good form has been a major reason behind Wednesday’s success this term.
Last season the Yorkshire club struggled in front of goal, but this time around there have been no such problems.
Wednesday are now in seventh place in the Championship table, and they are just one point away from the play off places.
