Confirmed: Leeds Under-21 line-up v Sheffield Wednesday - Erwin and Botaka start

Leeds United’s Under-21 side take on Sheffield Wednesday today.

Leeds’ Under-21 side take on their Sheffield Wednesday counterparts today at home, looking to put an end to a run of poor form.

They have failed to win any of their last three games, losing 2-0 to both Nottingham Forest and Crewe, and only slightly recovering to draw 1-1 with Hull last time out.

They take on a Wednesday side one point ahead of them in the U21 Professional Development League Two, having also played one more game than the Owls.

A win for Leeds will take them potentially as high as 11th place today, with them currently sitting in 15th.

The game kicks off at 1pm, and is taking place at Leeds United’s Thorp Arch training ground.

Among those featuring in the Under-21s today are first-team squad members Jordan Botaka, Lee Erwin and Tommaso Bianchi, who will be hoping to impress Steve Evans enough to fight for a place in the senior set-up over the coming weeks.

The confirmed line-up is as follows:

Starting XI: Peacock-Farrell, Coyle, Vann, Purver, Denton, Sloth, Phillips, Bianchi, Botaka, Stokes, Erwin

Subs: Grimes, Lyman, Parkin, Walters, McDaid
