Former Chelsea and Celtic striker Chris Sutton maintained on BBC Final Score on Saturday afternoon that Crystal Palace will finish above Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League table this season.
Sutton reiterated his belief during the Premier League game between Stoke City and Palace at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
“Everybody laughed at me when I said Crystal Palace would finish above Spurs this season,” said the former Norwich City striker during half time.
"But they have played well again today - and without Yohan Cabaye. They are set up well for the counter attack."
Palace won the match 2-1, while Tottenham defeated Southampton 2-0 away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 29 points from 17 matches.
The Eagles are two places behind their London rivals in sixth, but they are level on points with Spurs.
Tottenham have a better squad than Palace and have more experience in challenging for the top four.
However, the 2015-16 Premier League season has been hugely unpredictable, and Alan Pardew’s side could find themselves above Spurs in the standings come May.
Palace will take on Bournemouth away from home at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League on Boxing Day, while Tottenham will face Norwich City at White Hart Lane.
