West Bromwich Albion lost 2-1 to Bournemouth but what did Baggies fans make of the Beninese player's performance
West Bromwich Albion were the latest side to suffer from Bournemouth’s impressive resurgence, as the Baggies lost 2-1 to Eddie Howe’s men on Saturday.
Adam Smith opened the scoring in the 52nd minute but Gareth McAuley equalised with just 11 minutes remaining, suggesting the Baggies would take at least a point from an encounter they ended with just nine men.
But Bournemouth had other ideas and Charlie Daniel converted from the penalty spot in the 87th minute to ensure the Cherries made the journey home with all three points.
Summer signings James McClean and Salomon Rondon both saw red in a match West Brom manager Tony Pulis will no doubt want to forget as soon as possible, but this was not the way the Baggies players wanted to head into the busy Christmas and New Year period.
The result left West Brom in 13th position and it left some of the club’s fans questioning why Stephane Sessegnon was not sent on until half time.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what West Brom fans thought of Sessegnon’s performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
Sessègnon only positive out of that game really. Looked dangerous every time he was on the ball.— James Cox (@James_WBA) December 19, 2015
Only positive today for me was the return of Sessegnon. No coincidence we improved following his introduction #wba— Albion Till We Die (@albiontillwedie) December 19, 2015
Sessegnon and Lambert made impact, but to leave Sess, McManaman and Berahino out for a home tie vs. Bournemouth is so, so negative.— Baggies Galore (@BaggiesGalore) December 19, 2015
@DavidPiesing63 Sessegnon was wrongly ignored by Pulis for the previous 6mths but agree about CM, even though quality-wise he's miles ahead— Tommy Farr (@Gingerzola) December 19, 2015
