Southampton manager Ronald Koeman praises Barcelona for their victory in the Club World Cup today.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Barcelona’s triumph in the Club World Cup.

Barcelona defeated River Plate 3-0 in the final of the Club World Cup at the International Stadium Yokohama in Yokohama earlier today.

Argentina international forward Lionel Messi opened the scoring in the 36th minute, and Uruguay international striker Luis Suarez found the net twice in the second half.

Koeman was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of Barcelona.

The Club World Cup triumph means that Barcelona have won as many as five major trophies in 2015.

Barca won La Liga, Copa del Rey and the Champions League last season, before clinching the UEFA Super Cup in August.

Meanwhile, Southampton find themselves in the second half of the Premier League table at the moment.

The Saints have been struggling for form and for poor form for a while now, and Koeman needs to get things sorted soon.
