The Barcelona-owned midfielder could head to Turkey.

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic has found himself linked with a long list of his former players at former club Besiktas this season.

One such name has been Gokhan Tore.

The former Chelsea youngster has emerged as a top winger at the Istanbul club and has attracted interest from all over Europe.

Now reports in Turkey are suggesting a very bizarre deal could come about that would see Tore at Upton Park in January.

Ulke Haber are reporting that West Ham will be hoping to get Tore, by offering Alex Song in exchange.

The report, which is one of many in Turkey reporting the same thing this morning, suggests that West Ham will offer Song to Besiktas as part of any deal - hoping this will convince Besiktas to part.

But Song is a Barcelona player. The Catalan club have however washed their hands of the Cameroonian and according to the report they are more than happy for West Ham to deal with his future.

The move would also see West Ham cover his wages for the rest of the season - just to get Tore through the door at Upton Park.

It would be an odd signing but Tore, it seems, is high on Bilic's wishlist.
