Report: Jeremain Lens failing to impress his teammates at Sunderland

Sunderland Gates

Jeremain Lens was brought to Sunderland from Dynamo Kiev in the summer transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, Sunderland’s squad have been less than impressed with Jeremain Lens’ efforts since he moved to the Stadium of Light.

Lens was signed by the Black Cats during the summer transfer window and he was expected to be one of their marquee additions.

Lens had a strong goal-scoring in the Ukraine, and there was a great deal of excitement over his arrival on Wearside.

However, Lens appears to have already fallen out of favour at Sunderland, and it is said that his attitude has come under question.

Lens’ teammates reportedly feel that he is not trying hard enough in training to justify his place, while the coaching staff have also been frustrated with his performances on the pitch.

To make matters worse, Lens reportedly refused to take part in a warm-up exercise in Sunderland’s match against Watford last weekend – with the club now set to fine him.

Lens has made 14 appearances for Sunderland so far, and he has only scored twice during those displays.
