Everton are interested in signing Andriy Yarmolenko from Dynamo Kyiv, according to The Sun.
According to the report, Everton are looking to sell Steven Naismith to Premier League rivals Norwich City for around £7m, and that will help them generate part of the funds to recruit Yarmolenko from Kyiv.
“Kiev will be hard to shift as they are still in the Champions League and also know Yarmolenko’s value could soar after the Euro 2016 finals,” adds the report in The Sun.
Yarmolenko is one of the best players on the books of Kyiv at the moment and has helped the Ukrainian giants qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League this season.
The 26-year-old, who can play as a forward or as a winger, has scored two goals and created 13 chances in five Champions League appearances this campaign.
The Ukraine international has a pass accuracy of 79% and a shot accuracy of 67%, and has won 10 dribbles and six tackles.
Signing Yarmolenko would be tough for Everton as it does not appear likely that he would leave a Champions League club midway through the season.
If the Premier League outfit are strongly interested in the 26-year-old attacker, then they should try to sign him before the Euro 2016 finals get underway in the summer.
