It has been reported by the British newspaper that Villa manager Remi Garde’s assistant Reginald Ray and Paddy Riley, the club’s head of recruitment, attended the Championship game between Wolves and Leeds at Molineux.
Villa are not the only Premier League club to have (reportedly) shown an interest in Byram, though.
According to a report in The Mirror earlier this month, Everton and Sunderland both are interested in the youngster, who can play as a right-back or as a right-winger.
Good performance against Wolves
Byram, who has struggled with poor form this season, started the Championship game against Wolves and played an important role in the 3-2 win.
The 22-year-old, who can play as a right-back or as a right-winger, took four shots, scored twice, had a pass accuracy of 80%, created two chances, put in one cross, attempted three dribbles, won 71% of his tackles and 60% of his headers, and made seven clearances and two blocks.
