Ray Wilkins says Arsenal can win against Manchester City - on one condition

Arsenal will face Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Monday night.

Former Chelsea and Manchester United midfielder Ray Wilkins said on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (December 18) that Arsenal can win against Manchester City in the Premier League on Monday night.

However, for that to happen, according to Wilkins, star forward Alexis Sanchez will have to feature for the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium in North London.

“I always say when you go to Arsenal: if you can survive the first 20 minutes, then you have got a chance against Arsenal," said the former Aston Villa assistant manager.

"The first 20 minutes, they play some devastating football. If Sanchez plays, I give them a right chance.”

Sanchez is one of the best players in the Premier League, and he will be a key figure for the Gunners against City if he plays.

The Chile international forward has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since last month, but there is a chance that he could recover for Monday night’s game.

The former Barcelona star has scored six goals and created 24 chances in 14 Premier League appearances so far this season.

Sanchez has a pass accuracy of 80% and a shot accuracy of 55%, and has won 12 headers, 46 dribbles and 16 tackles.
