Peterborough chairman sends message to Leeds United fans

Darragh MacAnthony tells Leeds United fans to stick with Steve Evans.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has expressed his delight for Leeds United manager Steve Evans.

Evans has led the Whites to three victories in their last four games, with a win over Preston on Sunday following victories against Wolves and Hull, with a draw against Charlton in between.

Leeds are now in the top half of the Championship table, and MacAnthony used Twitter to send a message to supporters of the club, telling them that Evans is indeed the right man for the job - and can go onto achieve a lot more given the right backing.

Getting time and support is always questionable at Leeds, with club owner Massimo Cellino notoriously unpredictable.

Evans is his sixth head coach in just under two years at the club, but has not had the luxury of having a transfer window to improve the side yet - using players from previous regimes with the exception of loanee Liam Bridcutt.

Peterborough are currently in a League One play-off spot, sixth in the division.
