The Cape Verde international has been in great form.
The win was well deserved and there is no doubt that Cape Verde international Ryan Mendes was integral to the win.
He returned from injury to add some raw pace to the team and he had a big impact on proceedings.
He set up Nelson Oliveira's first goal, with the Portuguese forward once again outstanding, and then bagged his own in an excellent performance from the on loan attacker.
Mendes, on his day, looks like he can be as unplayable as the man he has essentially replaced - West Ham winger Michail Antonio.
Signed on a loan deal from Lille in the summer the Cape Verde international has thrived in the Championship.
Recently his performances have begun to stand out more and more and the Forest fans know just how important he is to the first-team.
This is fast becoming his best season in football and the Forest fans are thoroughly impressed, with one even having the cheek to dub him Neymar...
More difficult than it should have been, but another decent win. Mendes and Nelson spot on. #nffc— Tom Snee (@TomSnee) December 19, 2015

Wonder what the Blackburn result would have been if we'd had Mendes running at them? #nffc— DI Hatton (@DIHatton) December 19, 2015
