Leicester City beat Everton 3-2 at Goodison Park yesterday.
Wasilewski has had limited chances in the first-team this season, with Wes Morgan and Robert Huth establishing their places as the team’s first choice centre-back pairing.
However, the powerful Polish defender was required to start against Everton at Goodison Park, after Huth was ruled out through suspension, and he did not disappoint.
The 35-year-old dealt with Everton’s attacking threat expertly and proved that he was a more than able replacement.
Wasilewski has been with Leicester since their days in the Championship, but there were questions marks over whether he would be able to step up at this stage of his career.
Any doubts over his ability were put to bed on Merseyside though, as Leicester secured a huge win.
Here is the best reaction from Leicester fans on Twitter to Wasilewski’s display.

Totally forgotten how much I love Marcin Wasilewski BEAST— Jâmes Vardinho (@Alex_Barston) December 19, 2015
Dear goodness Wasilewski is the scariest looking soccer player I have ever seen. #EveLei— Norse Irish (@HibernoNorse) December 19, 2015
Btw Wasilewski proved me utterly wrong today, he was immense— joe perera (@Langoh) December 19, 2015
@ChrisRWhiting yeah Ross was wasteful. Rom didn't get much service to be fair. Morgan and Wasilewski dealt with him physically very well— Adam Rathe (@AdamRathe) December 19, 2015
Just shows this nonsense about 'leicester have no squad depth' when Wasilewski and King come in and we still win— Sam (@samjoneslcfc) December 19, 2015
@mrgeoffpeters Got to agree, thought Wasilewski, King and Okazaki played well within the team, despite lack of appearances, looked solid.— Craig Wheatley (@Weetoze_Media) December 19, 2015
