Villa played out a 1-1 draw with fellow relegation candidates Newcastle at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.
Fabricio Coloccini put the hosts in the lead in the 38th minute, and Jordan Ayew restored parity for the Villans just past the hour mark.
Sanchez, who started the encounter and played for the entire 90 minutes, was pleased with the effort he and his Villa teammates put in.

Villa are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with just seven points from 17 matches.
Remi Garde’s side are as many as 10 points behind 17th-place Newcastle.
The Villans will take on West Ham United at Villa Park in the league on Boxing Day.
