Confirmed: Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves line-ups

Here is how Sheffield Wednesday and Wolverhampton Wanderers will line up this afternoon:

Sheffield Wednesday welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Hillsborough this afternoon with the visitors desperate to get the three points that will lift them closer to the top half of the Championship table.

Wolves are currently 17th in the second tier and they have won just one of their last seven matches, their latest setback coming last week when they lost 3-2 at home to Leeds United.

As for Wednesday, they are currently 10th in the table, five points better off than today’s opponents and just four points outside the play-off places, so a victory today will go down a treat heading into the Christmas and New Year fixtures.

That said Wednesday are without a goal in their last five league games against Wolves and with four defeats in that time the Owls will have to up their game to take anything from the encounter.

Having lost 2-1 away to MK Dons during the week, Wednesday now have the chance to get back to winning ways, but then so do Wolves…
