Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan has taken to social networking site Twitter to suggest that Crystal Palace could find themselves in the top four of the Premier League at the end of the season.
Bannan made his prediction following Palace’s 2-1 victory over Stoke City away from home at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The win means that Alan Pardew’s side are now sixth in the Premier League table with 29 points from 17 matches.
The Eagles are level on points with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, who are currently fourth and fifth in the standings respectively.
Bannan believes that his former club Palace can finish in the Champions League places.
The Wednesday midfielder has also suggested that Romelu Lukaku will break Jamie Vardy’s record.
Leicester City striker Vardy recently created the record of scoring in 11 successive Premier League games.
Everton striker Lukaku has found the target in each of his last seven Premier League appearances, the latest coming in the 3-2 defeat to Leicester at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
