The club are looking to replace Brad Guzan.
In the winter Remi Garde, who took over from Tim Sherwood earlier in the season, will be keen to bring in his own players and one position seems to be on the cards for replacing.
Brad Guzan has not been in top form this season and it is being reported today that Villa will be looking to bring in a new stopper.
The Mirror is reporting that three stoppers are on the agenda for Villa.
Two are known to English audiences. Southend United stopper Daniel Bentley has been fantastic in the lower leagues and is out of contract in the summer at Roots Hall. He is said to be one of the 'keepers on their shortlist.
David Button is also a player on the list. The former Tottenham Hotspur youngster has impressed in the Championship for Brentford.
Meanwhile there is Belgian stopper Colin Coosemans. The Belgian Under-21 stopper has excelled at Waasland-Beveren recently and joined KV Mechelen in the summer. However he has struggled to get in front of Belgian international Jean-Francois Gillet in between the sticks.
Aston Villa it seems have plenty of options in the keeping department.
