Rangers boss Mark Warburton identifies two criteria for potential January signings

Could Rangers be active in the January transfer window?

Rangers manager Mark Warburton has suggested to The Daily Record that he will target players in the January transfer window who will bring physicality or seniority to the team.

The Gers are fighting for the Scottish Championship title this season, and it seems that Warburton wants to bring in new faces.

“You need seniority and January will be about us moving to get the right people in that might add a bit of physicality or seniority to what we already have,” Warburton told The Daily Record. “It is about getting the balance right for the second half of the season.”

Rangers are the favourites to win the Scottish Championship title this season, but they have started to slow down in recent weeks.

The Gers have arguably the best squad in the second tier of Scottish football, but a couple of players will certainly help them for the second half of the season.

The Glasgow giants cannot afford to slip up in the second half of the season and fail to clinch top spot in the table.

Rangers have to do all they possibly can to make sure that they win the Scottish Championship title.

The Gers lost the Premiership playoff final last season, and the fans will be concerned about such knockout games where promotion is concern.

Warburton’s side have picked up 41 points from 17 Scottish Championship games so far this season.
