The winger was snapped at the training session ahead of a weekend tie with Aston Villa.
Those results have lifted Steve McClaren's men to 15th in the Premier League table, above struggling champions Chelsea and the freefalling Swansea City.
They are also well ahead of their fellow Premier League stalwarts Aston Villa - who they face on Saturday.
Newcastle go into the game as favourites, considering they are ten points ahead of Villa in the league.
Newcastle's good news however just continues to grow, as McClaren enjoys Christmas on Tyneside.
Judging by the pictures at the club's training session yesterday it looks as though Newcastle are also getting prepared to welcome back talented winger Rolando Aarons.
He was snapped coming out for first-team training yesterday as he steps up his recovery from his most recent ailment.
He has played just four times for the club this season and has not featured since a game against Watford in mid-September.
Last season, after a fantastic start, the winger went on to play just six games for the club, being out of action from November 2014 to May 2015.
He has played just five games in the past 12 months. So this return will be managed carefully - but Newcastle fans will hope it is permanent.
