The Chelsea legend was putting a tough week behind him.
Chelsea won the title comfortably last term but have struggled this season amid poor on-field performances and reports of discontent and upheaval off the pitch.
Many of the team's players have been criticised in the media since Mourinho left for their poor performances in recent times and rumours of player discontent.
Today he made it clear that he had no desire to take a sabbatical and he made that very clear , by going to watch Brighton v Middlesbrough at the Amex Stadium earlier today.
He was in attendance with his good friend and former coach at Chelsea Jose Morais, who has also left Chelsea this week.
Of course he would have had a personal reason to be there.
He worked with Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka at Real Madrid and he was likely there to take his mind off the sacking, enjoy some top football and see his old partner in action.
