Paul Merson and John Barnes predict Watford v Liverpool

Watford will face Liverpool at Vicarage Road in the Premier League on Saturday.

Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson has predicted on that Sunday afternoon’s Premier League game between Watford and Liverpool will end in a draw.

Watford will take on Liverpool at Vicarage Road, and Merson believes that the game will finish 1-1.

“I don't think they’ve (Liverpool) got enough of that killer, eye of a needle ball-player. Watford have been great - they're very hard to beat, and I'll go with a 1-1 draw, which is a huge compliment to Watford, with Odion Ighalo scoring,” the Englishman has written on “I’d be so shocked if he stays there beyond January, surely someone will sign him.”

Former Liverpool winger John Barnes, though, believes that the Reds will register a 2-1 win at Watford.

“Watford have been playing brilliantly of late, but a game away from home will suit Liverpool, and Klopp’s side have the advantage in terms of quality,” the former Newcastle United man has written on “Goalscorers – Odion Ighalo and Philippe Coutinho.”

Liverpool will head into Sunday’s game on the back of a 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion at Anfield in the Premier League.

The Merseyside outfit’s results this month have not been great, with Jurgen Klopp’s side winless in three competitive matches.

Watford are in better form than the Reds at the moment and will head into Sunday’s encounter on the back of a 1-0 victory over relegation-threatened Sunderland away from home at the Stadium of Light.

The Hornets have won their last three league games and will be confident of picking up all three points against Liverpool.
