Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman has bad news on Daniel Pinillos' injury

The Spaniard looks set for a long term on the sidelines.

Nottingham Forest picked up a good win today, defeating Milton Keynes Dons at The City Ground.

The Reds picked up a good 2-1 win thanks to goals from Nelson Oliveira and Ryan Mendes.

Mendes' goal came from a Dani Pinillos assist and the left-back has been one of the surprise packages of the season so far.

Unfortunately, today's game came at a loss.

Pinillos came off in the 71st minute and was replaced by Jack Hobbs after suffering a rather serious looking injury and now Forest manager Dougie Freedman has told BBC Nottingham Sport that he looks set for a long spell on the sidelines:

"It looks as if we're going to miss him for a little while"

Pinillos was signed by Forest after a successful trial in the summer. His signature was something of a punt but the former Cordoba defender has been excellent for Forest this term in place of the more experienced Danny Fox.

The 23-year-old did however appear to be in considerable pain as he left the field of play and it looks as though Villa may just have to do without him for now.
