Harry Redknapp comments on Leicester’s top-four chances

Leicester City are competing with Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool for a place in the top four of the Premier League this season.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United manager Harry Redknapp has suggested on Kicca.com that Leicester City can finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

“The top four would be almost certainly, I think, Man City, Arsenal for sure,” said Redknapp. “Then it’s a toss-up: Man United, Liverpool, Tottenham.

“Leicester are the only other team at the moment who look like they could cause a major upset, but other than that, the rest of them, no one is going to make the top four.”

Heading into this weekend’s round of matches in the Premier League, Leicester find themselves at the top of the table.

Claudio Ranieri’s side have picked up 35 points from 16 matches and are two points clear of Arsenal, who are currently second.

Manchester City and Manchester United are third and fourth respectively in the standings, while Tottenham are three points off the Champions League places.

As claimed by Redknapp, Liverpool are also in contention of a top-four finish in the Premier League this season. The Merseyside outfit are just five points behind fourth-place United.

Leicester do not have the quality of players or the depth in squad like Arsenal, City and United do, but the way they have played so far this campaign and their form suggest that they should not be taken lightly.

If the Foxes continue to defy the odds and pick up points as the season continues, then maybe, just maybe, they could even win the Premier League title.
