Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho's record speaks for itself, but that didn't stop him getting the chop.

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has revealed that he believes that Mourinho deserved more time at Chelsea instead of getting axed earlier this week.

Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic after the controversial boss was struggled to motivate his players to perform this season.

The Blues had won just four times in the Premier League since the start of the season and find themselves just one point from he bottom of the table, and 20 points off surprise leaders Leicester City.

Former Netherlands boss Guus Hiddink now looks set to become Chelsea's interim manager until the end of the season.

While Chelsea's performances have been very lacklustre and inconsistent under Mourinho this season, he is still their most successful coach ever, winning three Premier League titles in his two spells at the club.

Though some supporters will acknowledge that he had to go, there are plenty of fans and neutrals who reckon that Chelsea may have made a mistake.

And one of those is ex-Arsenal striker Ian Wright, who took to Twitter and shared a stat that proves just how good Mourinho really is:
