Gary Lineker and Stephen Fry react on Twitter to Manchester United v Norwich result

Manchester United suffered a 2-1 defeat to Norwich City at Old Trafford in the Premier League earlier today.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Gary Lineker has taken to social networking site Twitter to suggest that Manchester United should appoint Jose Mourinho as their manager.

Lineker made the suggestion following United’s 2-1 defeat to Norwich City at Old Trafford in the Premier League earlier today.

Meanwhile, lifelong Norwich fan and English comedian Stephen Fry has revelled in the Canaries’ triumph.

The defeat to Norwich means that United have now slipped out of the top four in the Premier League table.

Under manager Louis van Gaal, performances of the team have been disappointing so far this season.

The results have not been that bad, but the loss to Norwich at Old Trafford will make many fans question whether Van Gaal is the right man for the job going forward.

Jose Mourinho is a ‘free agent’ at the moment, having been sacked by Chelsea on Thursday.

The former Real Madrid boss is a 'winner', but given his struggles with the Blues this campaign, should United take a ‘risk’?
