The Hammers have not always had the best of times and were playing in the Championship just a few years ago.
The London outfit are now an established Premier League club, and it seems that Gold has grand plans for the future.
West Ham will have a new home next season, the Olympic Stadium in London, and the team are playing pretty good football at the moment.
Could there be more in store for the Hammers in the coming years? Gold’s response to a fan suggests so.
Big fish eat little fish its been happening for millions of years. How do you stop being eaten? Become a big fish.dg https://t.co/I8Ctn2VCb9— David Gold (@davidgold) December 18, 2015
Can West Ham becoming a ‘big fish’ in the coming years? Why not? After all, 20 years ago, Chelsea were not as big a club as they are now. Manchester City were in the second tier of English football in 2002.
It is going to take a good few years for West Ham to become a genuine force in the Premier League, but if the owners have a long-term plan and the fans have patience, then anything is possible.
