The stats which show the improvement of Ross Barkley this season

Ross Barkley

The Everton midfielder has been incredible in 2015-16.

Today sees Everton take on Leicester City, as The Toffees look to burst The Foxes bubble at the top of the Premier League table.

Everton themselves have undoubtedly improved since last season, although their improvement looks minute compared to the current form of Leicester.

One key reason behind this improvement has been the progression of Everton talent Ross Barkley.

The midfielder has truly started to show his real class this season and when you look at his stats this year compared to last then his stark improvement becomes even more clear.

Here are his stats for this stage of the season last year...

Of course he has got himself into better shape which has seen him play more regular football. With that opportunity he has improved his stats.

He has scored five more goals, bagged four more assists and has improved his all round game entirely.

His link up play from the attack and defensive forms of midfield have made him one of the best midfielders in the country this season and that goal threat he now carries makes him a far more feared opponent.

If Barkley is firing, Leicester might be in trouble.
