The midfielder was pleased with an excellent start from Forest.
Nottingham Forest picked up an impressive win this afternoon, defeating Milton Keynes Dons 2-1 at the City Ground.
It was a result made in Iberia. Ryan Mendes laid on the opening goal for Nelson Oliveira whilst Dani Pinillos set up Ryan Mendes for the second.
Forest were 2-0 up within just 16 minutes of action.
They were on fire and one former loanee did not hid his pleasure at their start on his official Twitter account.
Gary Gardner played 18 Championship games for Forest last season, scoring four goals and becoming a big fan favourite at the club.
So he was not afraid to show his allegiance:

Gardner returned to Villa in the summer with the intention of getting plenty of game time under Tim Sherwood.
Unfortunately he was injured for Sherwood's stint with the club and is once again out with a knee problem.
He will no doubt be hoping to get back out on loan again in the January transfer window as he has proven himself a capable midfield operator in the Championship.
Perhaps a return to Forest could be on the cards.
