Wolves were defeated in the Championship on Thursday evening.

Wolves suffered a 3-2 loss at the hands of Leeds United on Thursday, which left them in 17th place in the Championship table.

They went ahead early in the game through Benik Afobe, but a Sam Byram double either side of Stuart Dallas netting had them 3-1 down heading into the late stages of the game.

Nathan Byrne scored his first Wolves goal to bring the scoreline back to 3-2, but Kenny Jackett’s men could not equalise the tie in the final stages.

It was a disappointing result for Wolves, having gone ahead at home, but the performance from Leeds deserved the score, having outplayed the Molineux club from the moment Souleymane Doukara entered the field of play.

Wolves now have just one win in their last seven league fixtures, and just three wins since the start of October, form that is likely to push them closer and closer to the relegation places.

Following the game, three of the Wolves players who featured last night took to Twitter to react to the result, admitting that it was a disappointing result to lose the game having gone ahead in the tie.
