According to Italian transfer expert Gianluca di Marzio, Watford have agreed to sign Juan Iturbe on loan from Roma with the view to a permanent deal in the summer.
Watford have been superb on their long-awaited return to the Premier League, picking up 25 points in their opening 16 matches and currently looking on course for a top ten finish.
The club have benefited from an extensive scouting network which has allowed them to significantly bolster their ranks over the past 18 months with signings from Italy and Spain.
The Hornets are intent on strengthening further in January, and a loan deal for AS Roma’s Juan Iturbe is expected to be announced soon after an agreement was reportedly struck.
Iturbe is an exciting talent and he will provide Watford fans with plenty of enjoyment.
The Argentine-born winger has often been compared with Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi due to his similarity in playing style, stature and of course nationality.
Iturbe joined Roma in the summer of 2014 but failed to establish himself as a first-team star in the Italian capital, making just three Serie A appearances this season.
The talented youngster has plenty of time on his side, and with a little added physicality and consistency in terms of end product he could prove to be a huge hit at Vicarage Road.
