Celtic are reportedly interested in Paudie O’Connor of Limerick.

Celtic are interested in signing Paudie O’Connor from Limerick, according to The Scottish Sun.

It has been reported by the Scottish tabloid that Celtic are keeping tabs on the young defender, who broke into the Shannonsiders’ first team at the start of the season.

The 18-year-old has been in impressive form for Limerick so far this campaign, scoring one goal in 16 appearances.

Celtic’s season

Celtic are having a mixed season at the moment, having failed to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League and then not being able to progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League.

However, in the Scottish Premiership, Ronny Deila’s side are flying high and set to win the league title yet again.

The Bhoys are at the top of the league table at the moment with 42 points from 17 matches. Celtic are four points clear of second-place Aberdeen and have a game in hand.
