The defender is seemingly on the comeback trail.
Liverpool took to training this afternoon ahead of their clash with Watford this weekend with one very notable player joining in the session.
The England international was photographed getting involved with the first-team as his injury nightmare hopefully comes toward an end.
He was even pictured doing some ball-work, so this looks like a real potential comeback.
n Flanagan had an exceptional 2013-14 season. Brendan Rodgers roped in the youngster to strengthen the back four and he really impressed for the club. He played 25 games in the campaign and earned his first England cap against Ecuador in the summer.
He even scored his first goal for the club, netting against Tottenham Hotspur in a 5-0 win in December 2013.
Unfortunately, things soon took a turn for the worse. He picked up a knee injury in pre-season and has not played a game since.
Flanagan's last appearance for Liverpool came in a 2-1 win against Newcastle United in May 2014 - the final day of the season.
Now it looks like he might be on the verge of his comeback to first-team action after 19 months out.
