Celtic manager Ronny Deila has told The Scottish Sun that he hasn't been able to contact the agent of winger James Forrest.
The Bhoys have handed new contracts to Kieran Tierney and Nir Bitton this season, but they seem ready to offer some more deals to their current squad.
Reports from the Glasgow Evening Times earlier this week suggested that Celtic were looking to extend winger James Forrest's contract, given that it expires at the end of next season.
The 24-year-old wide man, who came up through the ranks with Celtic, has had an injury-hit career but is finally establishing himself as a key player under Deila this season.
Understandably, the Bhoys are now looking to guarantee his future for years to come - but there is a bizarre problem facing Celtic.
Speaking to The Scottish Sun earlier today, Deila revealed that he hasn't been able to get hold of Forrest's agent, but claims he isn't concerned about it just yet.
"We have tried to get hold of his agent so you can write that when he has time, he can come in and discuss an offer," said Deila. "We have tried for a while so hopefully he will come - like Santa. Maybe he has a lot to do. I don't know how many players he has. It doesn't concern me but hopefully we will get contact now and start talking," he added.
This is something of a rare situation in football, and Celtic will be desperate to get in contact with Forrest's agent before the situation surrounding his contract drags on in to 2016.
