West Brom boss Tony Pulis is looking to offload three outcast players in January.
The trio have managed just two Premier League fixtures between them this season, with both Gamboa and Anichebe making substitute appearances. Pocognoli has not played a league game, although he was given an outing in the League Cup loss to Norwich.
It is clear they are not in Tony Pulis’ first-team plans, and the manager is set to transfer list them so they are moved away from the Hawthorns in January.
This is despite Gamboa’s obvious talent, and the Baggies still lacking a natural left-back, except Pocognoli, who Pulis is unwilling to play.
There are currently no indications that any teams have shown an interest in signing any of the trio, but there were transfer links back over the summer which could be renewed.
HITC Sport reported a few months ago that Anichebe was a target for half-a-dozen Championship sides, who were looking at bringing him in on loan before the Football League deadline passed. However, he remained with the Baggies, and these same clubs could be tempted into signing him permanently in January.
Celta were linked with Pocognoli, according to the Evening Times, but failed to close a deal with West Brom, although there have not yet been any concrete links with Gamboa leaving the Hawthorns.
