Liverpool fans react on Twitter to James McClean's comments about Jurgen Klopp

Klopp Scouse Lesson

The Reds faithful were naturally a little defensive after the West Brom winger's comments about their manager.

Liverpool fans were - understandably - a little unhappy after West Brom winger James McClean called their manager 'a bit idiotic' (or 'a bit of an idiot' depending on the interview).

Indeed, the Reds drew 2-2 with the Baggies at Anfield after a competitive clash which saw Liverpool only just salvage a point. At the end of the game, Klopp celebrated with the Kop (a gesture designed to reconnect players and fans more than anything) and refused to shake Tony Pulis's hand.

West Brom winger McClean clearly wasn't happy. But his comments haven't been received very well in the Liverpool camp - as you would expect.

Don Hutchison feels McClean should stick to playing football and also compared his quotes to his goading of Sunderland fans a few weeks ago on Twitter.

And Liverpool fans themselves have responded vociferously on social media, suggesting the West Brom man demanding more 'respect' from Klopp is ironic and contradictory when he himself is being insulting...

Here's how supporters reacted on Twitter to the 26-year-old's comments. Do you think he had a point - or was he just trying to grab the headlines as usual?
